Advent is Coming

Advent is ‘Coming’,
Advent means waiting;
We are to wait Christ’s
coming again.
Then, in the end time,
all will be made new,
there’ll be no suff’ring,
crying or pain.

Advent is ‘Coming’,
Advent means waiting;
We are to wait with
prophets of old.
Waiting Messiah –
coming to rescue,
David’s successor,
for long foretold.

Advent is ‘Coming’,
Advent means waiting;
We are to wait with
baptiser John.
Getting our hearts all
ready for greeting,
following Jesus
from this time on.

Advent is ‘Coming’,
Advent means waiting;
We are to wait a
new Christmas Day.
Help us to put you,
Christ, at the centre,
Jesus, our Saviour,
on your Birth Day.
