Holy Land journey,
travelling with Jesus;
Bethlehem calls us
to Manger Square.
Is this the true site
of Jesus’ birthplace,
or does it matter
if here or there?

Holy Land journey,
travelling with Jesus;
Nazareth asks us,
‘What can I bring?’
Mary and Jesus
must have drawn water
from the one, ancient,
life-giving spring.

Holy Land journey,
travelling with Jesus;
Galilee draws us
down to the Lake.
Can we imagine
those first disciples
leaving their fishing
just for His sake?

Holy Land journey,
travelling with Jesus;
Capernaum ruins
speak to us much.
Here we envisage
ordinary people
talking to Jesus,
wanting his touch.

Holy Land journey,
travelling with Jesus;
Capital City –
Jerusalem.
Places and churches,
gardens and ruins,
history of many
women and men.

Holy Land journey,
travelling is over.
People are waiting,
home is not far.
Have you left Jesus
in that far country,
or is he with you
wherever you are?
