I was blind but now I see

I was blind – and now I see!

I was blind – I couldn’t see:
Trees, plants and flowers; houses, people and animals passed me by..
I couldn’t see and I wasn’t aware...
I was blind.

I was blind – I needed to see to believe:
I wouldn’t believe that miracles were possible unless they happened to me...
I needed to see to believe...
I was blind.

I was blind – I didn’t see:
God’s world, God’s purposes, God’s way of doing things..
I didn’t see and didn’t realise...
I was blind.

I was blind:
I couldn’t see,
I didn’t believe,
I didn’t realise.
And then I encountered Jesus.
He gave me sight,
He helped me believe,
He made me realise:
I was blind – but now I see!
